One of the best, depending on what you do
Ok, we all know this is the biggest software, the most known, the industry standard. Well…it is changing now, a lot of studio start to go on logic reaper or other software for I would say good reasons.
Pro tools has an incredible way of recording and editing ! No other software does that seamlessly like this one does. The mixing workflow is also great but other are very similar if not better like logic pro.
But for the production part, it is horribly bad. I would never advise someone to do production on pro tools. And the interface overall looks very bad (I know it doesn’t change the sound quality but still it could be a lot better).
So if you are a sound engineer i would actually recommend if you like it but keep in mind others can do the same if not better except for the recording and editing, pro tools still rules on this.
But if you are a producer, you might want to use another software.
