Bought these for a major upgrade project for a cort bass of mine. also replaced the on-board preamp.
The change is dramatic in comparison with the stock pickups and electronics.
Much fuller, 3 dimensional sound. very polished full bodied sound with wide range and nice treble. in passive mode they have a somewhat vintage character with lesser treble response. then when paired with a nice preamp you get the full spectrum and pickup sound possibilities. more modern sound in active mode. beautiful slap sound... great fingerstyle tone... both passive and active operation modes are very useful options.

build quality is excellent.
