Affordable, solid and surprisingly capable
Cheap, sturdy and sounds great. Definitely usable as a single kick drum mic. While other boundary kick mics often really need a separate kick-out mic, the BA 19A can hold its own. The blue LED is also a handy little feature when troubleshooting. The EQ switch is a bit confusing. It turns out to be not just a mid scoop, but also adds low-end boost. Personally, I would have preferred a simple mid scoop.
