Sound Design Tool
bananafish 23.03.2026
If you are looking for classic analog flanger sounds, this pedal will be an overkill. Actually, "normal" flanging this pedal offers didn't impress me. Where it actually shines are experimental, weird, odd and strange sounds, bleeps, self-oscillating howls, robotic wailing. It is a tool for sound design.
The build quality is what you get from Behringer though. Wobbly knobs and switches. If you plan to gig with this thing, I would suggest getting a spare one right away. And given all the different things you can get out of this apparatus it wouldn't hurt having a second one.
Of course, there is a controversy around these cheaper redesigns or even straight copies of older devices. Technically the original Lovetone pedals are not made anymore and cost a fortune, but you should know that new versions of them are being designed right now by the original builder Dan Coggins in cooperation with ThorpyFx.
I'm giving 4 stars for features because this version of the pedal doesn't add anything new to the previous circuit.
