Another Behringer Rival
Over the past few years Behringer have been creating products at a fraction of the price to the consumer for the same rivalled quality. This is no exception - fair enough i'm using high quality in earphones but without this to get it to my ears i'd be stuck! It's a clever bit of equipment allowing you to essential mix yourself and let the sound engineer also give you a mix (and let's be honest....you probably want as much control as you can!). It's got a great volume, plenty of headroom and is quiet and does the job well in a noisy environment. Of course it won't push for studio quality sound, but then again, you don't need it in a live situation where you are simply looking to monitor yourself and monitor well. This is a great buy, a must to stick in your bag with a few leads and earphones.

Good for on-stage monitoring
Bought this for using with in-ear monitors on stage for monitoring guitar. So far sounds very good and has transparent signal.
Only thing i wish was better - switchable line in/mic in button - mic in has quite high level, so sending in an usual signal from processor can overdrive the signal. Solved this by turning down right channel of my guitar processor(I am sending to FOH just mono signal), so I can achieve loud signal without distorting it.

Great idea, but limited output
This is a great idea to get a quick wired IEM fix for a singer. I used it by tapping the singers microphone with this little box, and feeding it a stereo mix of the rest of the band from the console. Unfortunately, I find the headphone output is quite weak in comparison to similar products, otherwise this would be ideal for the live environment. I can imagine it would be fine in a studio situation (maybe not for drummers!).

ma 400
Great peace of kit for the money, i'm a drummer and a lot of the time i need to use in ear monitors when playing with a click track, with the MA400 amp i link from an audio live player to a di box then to the desk and from the di box to the MA 400 plug in my in ear monitors and away i go, i have control over the volume and the sound is clear great for the money.

Nice for practicing at home!
This headphone amplifier comes with a necessary power supply. I bought it to practice at my rental flat (no amplifier possible due to noise). This amplifier can be fed with two signals, one from your instrument (from the effectboard, mixer, di box or whatever) and one from an external source like a computer etc. The handling is a bit tricky and you might need a few more adapter cables (which Thomann can provide!) but as soon as everything is installed, the box is very nice to use. One gets out a clear and adjustable signal for both channels. Unfortunately, the box isn't really "road ready" and it would be nice if one could mount them to a 19" rack, that is NOT possible so far.

Great introduction to in ears
If you are trying to get used to the in ears this is a really good way to do it on the cheap. Nice little interface and is a cheapoer option than some of the pricier options.

Does its job
I got this headphone amp for recording purpose. If someone needs an own monitor mix, I can link this Behringer to the aux send of my mixing console and dial in the sound I need. Independent from the main mix.
The MA400 does its job well, connects to everything I need without problems, has a lot of power, no hum and the amount of hiss is tolerable. No device for hi-fi-gear-heads, but no crap either.
The housing is quite solid, the connectors are not screwed to the box, but rugged enough. You shouldn't step on it or park your car on it, but you neither have to handle it with special care. Also the pots feel solid and reliable.
The MA400 is good value for money. Give it a try!

Very good
Very handy item. Just got one of these for our drummer and hes delighted! Wired into the desk, sit on the ground beside you, plug in your headphones and bingo! Mix heaven. And a brilliant price for what it does.
