Amazing for the Price
I bought this product in order to output my [much larger] mixer to a PC via USB. This unit is powered by USB, so can be plugged in to the included wall socket adapter and used as an input for speakers, but also can be powered straight from a computer by the USB, enabling you to input into the PC without having to have it plugged into the wall.
The way that I use the Xenyx 302 USB is having my main mixer's RCA audio output connected to the LINE INPUT on the Xenyx. There is a headphone output which allows you to hear the mix and then I have the USB cable plugged into the computer. I can then record the whole live mix of our band through the PC.
Alternatively, this unit can be used for recording pod casts with it's microphone input or a guitar and microphone for a singer/songwriter.
It is a very versatile product, especially for its size and price and I recommend it to any person looking for more options whilst recording.
As a side note, the product is made even better by the fact that it comes with a licence for Tracktion recording software. This is not actually mentioned by thomann, but by going to Behringer's product page and registering your mixer's serial number, Behringer and Tracktion give you a licence for the software. This negates the necessity for a decent software as Tracktion is pretty useful. This is particularly good if you are a beginner at this sort of thing and are only using free software.
TL;DR: The Behringer Xenyx 302 USB is a useful bit of kit that comes with some decent software.

Excellent sound interface on the budget
It has been more than 1 year since I purchased the mixer and I am very satisfied with it. I do audio and video recordings of classical music, but I use this mixer primarily as an audio output to my studio monitors. It has very low noise and some simple routing (2-track, headphone). I like the EQ, even though it is just HP and LP, because it is very strong (+15 dB and -15dB). The small sliders are holding up well and even after some use there is no noise and no problems with them. The knobs are also fine and show no signs of wear and tear. Another good thing about this mixer is that it is USB powered, so you can take it camping or on a bus, power it using a power bank, connect it to some portable speakers and you have a party.

Addicted to buying these!
I work in live sound and radio and must have bought over 20 of these little toolbox treasures over the years. They're a 2 in 2 out USB sound card on drugs, completely USB bus-powered and with additional analogue mixing features to get you out of trouble or work a quirky route without feeling too unclean! They serve as an all in one phantom, pre amp and USB interface to our home-based broadcaster solutions. They are recognised by Windows, Linux, Raspberry PI, Chromebook, MAC, no fuss, no drama, they just work and are incredibly clean and clear in their operation. I've streamed a major radio station to the world on one, recorded some major names through one and bridged a busted rack of mic processing kit using one, they fit the bill for a whole number of things. Even if you don't need one right now, buy one anyway as you'll soon find yourself needing it for something! Thomann have a very similar own brand version too (the MicroMix 2) that I've also bought but not used in anger yet. It has Bluetooth as well so that could be fun!

Awesome mixer for live gigs!
Don't let the small size fool you!
This little monster packs some serious dB power for live gigs. I use this to get feed from the main stage console, as well as feed into an iPad with the metronome tracks and then send the console to an external recorder, while I hear both the console and the metronome on my in-ears.
It has so much power I only keep the phone levels at almost minimum on stage and we do play very loud music!

This is a magic box!
If you know what you are doing, you can achieve great and professional results from this piece of equipment. Use it for professional broadcasting and broadcast to FB live applications. For outdoors broadcasting it's also recommended if you want to avoid hassle with big mixers and cables. Good if you use only 1 microphone and external audio input. Make sure you get the proper RCA cables to connect inputs. For broadcast using cellphone or tablet, get a proper cable converter (usb to micro usb). No drivers needed!

very portable and it works
great to mix computer sound and microphone together, I use it when I conduct a music class, as it's easy to transport along with a good pair of compact monitors, just shove it all into a suitcase with wheels and take it to any classroom, and you can get nice quality sound in the classroom.

Very cool to use as a sound card for live streams
Very cool to use as a sound card for live streams. You can use is for pick up external sound through USB, or for send audio from USB to external source. One problem that You can not this do on same time. If you send your audio through USB, they go main mix. When You would like to pickup XLR audio to PC over USB, then You become back mix of XLR and USB audio, that You have send to mixer.

Perfect micro mixer
For small gig it is perfect thing. And you can connect via usb with your laptop (drivers works good, too). I call it palm mixer, when you need one mic and playback music - perfect solution for two beer price. Two beer less and you have mixer

Good price/quality ratio
For its price I really can't find a better mixer/audio interface.
Decent audio and gain
Pros: very cheap, small size and decent features.
Cons: alot of static noise, powering up only from USB(I'd prefer it from another power source)
Conclusion: For a starter with XLR microphones, this is a very good start, but it will require an update to get rid of the background noise(maybe a dbx 286s, cloudlifter and so on)
