I recently acquired this wireless system for home use with the primary goal of eliminating cable clutter and enjoying greater mobility. Upon initial setup, I encountered an unsettling sound issue that perplexed me. After thorough investigation, I discovered that the intermittent flickering of the green light on the receiver indicated connectivity challenges between the transmitter and receiver, resulting in sound distortion.

Repeated pairing attempts between the transmitter and receiver, even at a close range of 1 meter, failed to resolve the issue. It was only later, upon consulting the user guide, that I came across a crucial warning: a minimum distance of 3 meters is recommended between the unit and a wifi router. My router, unfortunately, was situated just beyond this threshold. Initially suspecting a defective unit, I opted to troubleshoot by disabling the 2.4 GHz band on my router, and to my relief, the system performed flawlessly thereafter.

While I lack direct experience with alternative wireless systems for comparison, I am hesitant to recommend this particular product for live gigs due to its susceptibility to interference problems. It is worth noting that the unit requires careful consideration of its operating environment, particularly in relation to the proximity of wifi routers, to ensure optimal performance.

S
Power adaptor not included- at this price???
Scottser 21.08.2025
To be clear, I don't expect manufacturers to ship a power supply with 'regular' pedals. But Boss should have included one with this for 2 reasons.
1.the base station has to charge the wireless transmitter, so battery life will be poor.
2. The battery compartment is at the base of the unit - to change batteries, the user must fully remove it from their pedal board.

Some users will already have power supplies on their board and won't care. But for multifx users, are we are expected to spend another €33 (for a made in China 9v adaptor, really!) to avoid regularly ripping the unit off our boards? I don't think so. I am considering returning this product.
Sidenote; Thomann included a an EU/UK plug adaptor with the product - I guess that like foolish me, they assumed it included a power supply 😆
