You don't need it.
If you are a beginner and think you need this because of your neighbours, familie members or room mates, you don't. It much more difficult to play with in on and the tone of the instrument changes, not in a good way. It's harder to hear if you are playing the right notes. Just communicate with the people around you, so you know when its best to practice and when not.

Back pressure
This mute has a lot of resistance creating too much back pressure to be useful. I use a harmon mute instead - far from as quiet of course but at least playable.
