Sound: Surprisingly good! Not noisy at all. Maybe a bit too warm on its own, depends on what you need - i.e. it can feel a bit much in the low mids, darkish, boxy sounding. I mainly use it for cleans, clean /w a bit of break-up and for that that's fine and joyful to play. An eq pedal, or a clean boost with an eq does wonders to it. That said, it takes pedals really reaaally well - fuzz, delays, reverbs, you name it. For ambient stuff with a few external pedals, it's a - chefkiss goes here - pure fun. Would record with it no problem.
Quality: Not great, not terrible - justifies the price. The first one I shipped back as it had white moldish spots on the insides. To be frank, it was a b-stock and it didn't have the silca gel pack when I opened it so, could be due to that. Got a replacement one, and it was fine, however I needed to wipe it clean to remove that residual layer that started accumulating on the insides. Could be because of the way the wood is (un) treated, or how it was stored? Either way, all good with this one now. Controls are sturdy, the front looks nice.
Features: Phones out is not the best, but useful. The built in spring reverb is okay, distorts pretty easily tho. The built in attenuator is why I bought it in the first place and it's the way to go! Handy if you want a little all tube amp tailored for the apartment life. Should be a good modding platform too - swapping tubes or the speaker looks easy enough.
Summary: This turned out to be a price-worthy buy. It's a very warm sounding, compact all tube amp. Love playing it - messing with it on its own or with a few pedals for some soundscape-y sessions. It's a keeper.
