I think it's near impossible to find an instrument with this craftmanship for this price. I am extremely impressed with the quality of the woods and the worksmanship put into this instrument, for this price.
Wood materials/woodwork:
The woods are top tier. The body is stunning and extremely well build. The neck is straight as an arrow. You can set up the action to be very low (lower than 2mm) with zero issues. It doesn't even need any relief to accommodate that low action.
It's the first instrument I've had where the neck relief does not change when the season does, and it barely changed even when switching to higher tension strings. The 7 piece neck along with the headless design make this a monster. I checked the fretboard for high frets and found nothing but perfection. Combined with the great hardware, the instrument stays in tune forever, even after being carried outside of the house in freezing cold. It simply does not care.
Playability/practicality:
The bass plays wonderfully. The neck is on the slim side so it's extremely comfortable. Practically speaking this is a game changer. It's the size of a guitar, comes with a very nice gigbag, and is overall much more pleasant than a traditional bass. The weight is also very very light, carrying this is no different than carrying a backpack through town.
Hardware:
The bridge and nut hardware are extremely robust and work flawlessly. As mentioned earlier it holds tune forever. String changing is also very easy and the whole assembly is a much better and simpler design that competitive headless options, in my opinion.
Electronics:
The pickups are great for this price. They are not on the high tier, but they are more than capable and can get you a large range of sounds, from slap to fingerstyle.
The potentiometer quality and the preamp leave some things to be desired; the potentiometers are not the best quality, and the preamp is not the best you can find, but it does its job more than well enough. However, passive mode is still great and this is the only minor issue I found. Again, for the price, I could not care less about this. Pay for the robust, solid wood and change the electronics if you wish to do so, not everyone will even need to. The opposite is not possible. Also your warranty is there for a reason if you ask me.
Overall an amazing instrument which I would not change for anything, in terms of playability and practicality.
