The perfect flatwounds?
I first ran into these strings when looking for some sex-appeal on my precision bass. Boy was I surprised at the punch it started packing. Having used normal chrome D'Addario flatwounds, I have to say these have the presence of good well-aged rounds but without the abrasion. And the B does not disappoint either.
I have these strings on all my basses now. The only thing I can't play well with them is Slap, but that's because I don't use a compressor.
Highly recommended.

Daddario ETB92-5
I love the smooth feel of these strings and they don't squeak at all as your fingers glide over them. The tone is brighter than a flat wound and duller than a round wound. I have a set on my G&L L2000 and love the mellower vintage tone. I also use them on my Fender Kingman acoustic bass. They give it a more upright sound and eliminate the squeak that the stock strings have. They are not as loud and they may not be the best choice if you don't play amplified. They fit perfectly on both bases with no adjustment.

Tape wound 5-string set
Got these for my fretless. NIce and quiet under the fingers, sound good (at least with my gear). Some might not like the colour (black) but that really doesn't concern me. So far I am very pleased and would recommend them for a fretless.

D'addario tape wounds
Very nice strings. Very smooth feel and easy playability. Give a fantastic tone used in conjunction with my fretless bass.
