The most "value for money" strings in my opinion.

Long lasting, but not groundbreaking
I've switched for years between using these and Ernie Ball's Heavy Bottom Slinky Top, which are the same gauge. I've found that the D'addario strings snap less easily, particularly the high strings, and seem to be more resilient to energetic playing. I don't play very fast metal or lead lines often, so they don't come under a lot of stress, but I've found that they seem to hold tune a bit better than the Ernie Ball strings on the same guitar in the same room. They seem to settle in to their tuning from being strung up quite quickly, and their 'slickness' stays for a fairly long time, although they do get buildup and rust at roughly the same rate as other standard string brands (without moving up to coated strings). I have found a few times that the tie at the ball end of the string can come undone and break at that end with very heavy playing, particularly on my jaguar and jazzmaster where they may come into slight contact with the tremolo plate screws by vibration, but it has not happened that often and so I have persevered with them for now.
These strings stay quite bright sounding even when they are getting old and need replacing, but can sound a bit harsh to begin with, which I don't find with Ernie Ball strings. Overall though, I find the D'addario present better value.

First time using and quite impressed
Purchased these mainly on cost but got to say that I REALLY like the feel and balance of these strings and they sound good too.
I guess I'm a winner.
I have been using Ernie Ball for over 20 years and have never strayed but going to put the Ernie's back next time to see what the difference is but for the price, this is a super buy.
Don't like the packaging, like a lot of other people. You cant store your old strings separately in the old bags coz there ain't any. They come all in one plastic bag.

OK average quality
String choice is subjective, and there are plenty of fans of these strings. Personally I think they are OK, but not great. I feel that these strings lack a little presence, transparency, and longeivity. For me Ernie Ball equivalents are better.

Great bright strings!
These sound very clear, but for me they seem to oxidate faster than others, but this is maybe just me.

steel 10/46 D'darrios
Good set of strings, smooth to the touch and bright sounding. Fortunately, the
sharpness of the sound mellows after a few days, leaving you with a balanced
and competent sound and feel.

Decent strings
Been using these for a while, and quite happy with them. If they break it's after a long time, and at the Floyd Rose bridge end - mind you that by that time (after several months) they are a little bit corroded already.
Have never compared strings, but sound is as it should be I guess?

Great brand, good sound
I've only used d'Addario strings on my acoustics before getting this lot for my Epiphone electric. The strings sound a little too bright for my taste. This may be because they're knew. I find it's not too hard to correct for this using amp knobs and an EQ plugin (if I'm recording).
I will definitely use these for a few weeks and see how they measure up to the Elixirs I was using before. If I'm unhappy, I'll just try another set (probably from d'Addario again, I just love their products) which should be a little warmer.

Review Daddario EXL110-3D
I've been using these myself for years now and think they are of a good standard and handy to buy them in sets of 3.
