I always use Elixir strings and I wanted to try something else since these D'addarios have also an anti rust treatment on the plain steel strings.

They sound very good but the anti rust plating is not as good as the Elixir's. The coating on the wound strings holds up pretty well though.

Ciao D'addario...I'll stick with the Elixirs, they're cheaper and still the best longevity-wise.

they stay in tune and great staying power
