Purists will hate it, but I think it's genius!
I own a 2018 Gibson Les Paul Classic. While it is a beautiful sounding guitar, the tuning stability is garbage. My playing style includes a lot of whole and 1 1/2 - sometimes 2 step bends, so it was impossible for me to get through more than one song without my instrument being noticeably out of tune. It didn't matter what type of strings or how well I lubricated the nut - my €1600 Les Paul was mostly useless outside the practice room.
The string butler was very reasonably priced, so I thought I would try it. Because of Thomann's amazing service, I had it the next day! It was easy to install on my LP and the clear acrylic doesn't take away from the appearance at all, although I think any of the other colors would look fine as well.
Pros: the guitar stays in tune as well as my Stratocasters! I can bend like crazy and stay in tune. I get to keep my beloved LP tone, and the String Butler does not take away at all from sustain or sound.
Cons: Purists will hate it because it is not "original." I am a player, not a collector, and my studio is not a museum!
Bottom line recommendation: if you have a 3x3 headstock guitar, and if you bought it to PLAY instead of look at, install a String Butler now!

Hardly noticeable on the guitar
This little device, whilst a little expensive is well worth the money, no more 3rd and 4th strings going out of tune on my Les Paul an 335 type guitars. It only took a few minutes to fit them and they are hardly noticeable. I bought the acrylic ones so that the headstock logo's etc were still visible.

Fits my Les Paul Traditional
Pretty flimsy, as to be expected with acrylic material. This means you have to be a gentle while mounting it. Haven't found it to be a major improvement to be honest, but it makes my guitar look pretty interesting (which I like a lot). The well known G-string problem remains a thing, but I find myself in the situation that I don't have to tune it as often.

Great product
Very well designed and made, fixed bending issues and it being transparent allows to see the gorgeous wood underneath it.
It sits so well i forget I have it most of the times.

Nice idea but I can't say it made much difference.
I experimented with this on my Les Paul Custom. It is easy to fit but doesn't look very good. The important thing to bear in mind is if you are using a 3 a side Gibson type guitar, the chances are the nut is cut with the right angle for the string alignment. Some nuts are straight cut but over time the nut slot will adapt to the physics of the string. This only really works if you have straight vertical parallel nut and are experiencing extreme angles or tuning issues. It didn't work for me and I would struggle to use it on other 3 a side guitars.

A must have for 3x3 tuning pegs designs
At first I was hesitant to try this, but after installing it on my Epiphone Les Paul Custom, it blew me away! First is that string bending feels softer and easier, most importantly, it stays in tune especially on the D and G strings because of the perfect straight and less break angle from the nut. And this acrylic looks great on the head stock and it really is made from strong material. I would definitely get a string butler for all my other Les Paul guitars.
