Helps to keep drums in tune
Decided to give it a try when buying new drumset.
Lubricating the bearing edge is not new to me, I was using car silicone spray or vaseline before that, but the latter could probably harm the drumheads.
The drums are more responsive to tuning and stay in tune longer when bearing edge is lubricated, but be sure to use something like this not to ruin the heads. It has no cleaning properties - the consistency is like lipstick or dry paper glue.

Good for cheaper or older kits
Used it on an old pearl export and my old tama superstar. Makes the heads stretch smoother and over the bearing edge with no creaking. It does require a good clean of heads beforehand tho and it wipes off very easily. It also can build in excess amount very easily on edge and after applying gets disformed easily.
