Great snare drum

I bought this snare as an extra but it became the main snare drum for my set. It came with a common single-ply head wich I had in mind that it sould be changed. Wrong! Keep it light and tight and it will give you a great, clean, sensitive and poping sound. You may need half of a moon gel to remove any bothering overtones but it's up to you.
Keep it simple and you 'll be suprised. By the way, the throw-off mechanism is the best out there. Super affordable, great quality and suprisingly good sound.

Beautiful side snare

Don't be fooled!! This is an excellent side snare for the price.
Just put on some quality heads(evans in my case) and you're good to go. Heads that come with this snare are not that great.
Hey, you gotta save money on something, right??
Has a great MagThrowOff system from DW, works very smooth!

Beauty and the beast!

Purpose of this snare drum is being the second on my setup. But man; this is my main snare now. Build quality amazing, looking perfect with "black wax" finish. And the mag throw-off is perfect. Such a perfect quality product with amazing price.

Pros:
- amazing tone for 12" (even medium tuning)
- gorgeous looking plus matching almost every color or finish
- DW mag throw-off
- stock heads are very durable
- amazingly sensitive

Cons:
- don't liked the snares, they feel cheap
- not comfortable with low tuning

C'est notre première caisse claire acoustique (sur batterie électronique jusque là), je n'ai donc pas de comparaison.
C'est un produit de bonne facture en regard du prix, le son est correct, conforme aux échantillons sonores que l'on peut trouver sur la fiche produit.
Très facile à régler (une première pour moi également).
La taille 12 pouces est bien adaptée pour mon fils de 9 ans, batteur amateur depuis 1 an et demi.
