Special effects !

Quite complicated. I'd rather use a single pedal then the mod11 for the Classic modes. Some modes are teally interesting and I will use the mod11 for.
I Explain :
The sound is quite good for a cheaper multimod. You get into the zone of the separate pedals (Small Stone etc) but not fully. It has a nice eq : digital clear but warm. More emphasis on low mids then single pedals.

It is not easy to use at all and requires deep study. This is the pedal I spent most time with of all my pedals. At the same time it's a challenge and a fun pedal. Not really suited for occasional use. The secondary knobs are quite difficult and almost different in every mode . There are different schemes of LFO's for almost every mode, impossible to learn by heart.
What happens a lot is : you lost your sound and don't know why. Number one reason ; You probably slighty touched a knob in secondary mode when turning another, wich altered the mix without knowing. After a while you know the main issues...
Using classic modes (Chorus, Flanger and Phaser) requires some study too. The range is narrow for the classic modes. For chorus it's not that difficult, but also not spontaneous. For Flanger and especially Phaser it is more difficult. These classic sounds are better with a compressor in front of the mod11 with slightly higher tone.
There are at the other hand a lot of unique sounds and even pedals in the Mod11.
Main exemples :
TREMOLO has a nice and unique psychedelic chopper sound and also a very rotary like slowed down version. Not as midscooped as a Tr2, more bass choppy.
VIBRATO is one of the best shoegaze vibratos : bends heavy but fluidly, taking dirt well and has envelopes that mimic My Bloody Valentine playing style. With a very wide speed range .
ROTARY itself is okay, especially the slowed down envelope is very usefull.
But the stars of this pedal are definitely FILTER and PITCH !!!
Their complex depth-parameter is not explained in the manual. It gives many different outcomes, depending on the position.
PITCH gives really crazy sounds, but it you want, can only do the non LFO-Pitch too at low depth and very well. It can make stepper sounds, AC DC scale sequences, lasergun sounds, ...
The FILTER mode : It can do really nice enveloppe wha's like a normal envelope filter pedal at slow rate. It can give a static filter too, like not many normal envelope filter pedals can. IN LFO mode It can give underwatersounds and other really synth and almost hip-hop like producers sounds. It is the same as the 'EHX Blurst' pedal but also in bandpass en hipass mode and without expression input.
In PITCH ans FILTER modes you want to use every shape, for every depth stand. It is really fun and takes all of your time.

A ton of guitar effects in one pedal. You even have a mix option(sub menu) for many of them( for example in flanger , most pedals dont offer a mix knob) .

Most effects sound great right of the bat.
Tremolo, Chorus, Pitch( if you turn off the time based effect by turning the rate CCW),
Harm Tremolo, FLange, TZF Flange, Univibe

I find the Rotary mediocre, a bit too muddy and dark for my taste ( one of the hardest time based effects to accurately replicate )
The filter effect needs some tweaking to sound great.
The vibrotrem sounds mediocre too.

Its very reasonably priced, small packed ,quality ,sturdy product.
Made me sell a great flanger pedal after an A / B comparison , it sounds as good but more versatile with the mix option.

Cons
Cant make the Phase effect to sound good, tried different positions in the chain. Too much whoosh in there and I cant make it to sound like a classic phaser but maybe thats just me.

Most LFO shapes(altough welcome) arent useful to me. Personal thing, bring on the hate. Not a great fan of the LFO options offered, I kept the default settings in almost all of the effects.
I only like changing LFOs on the Trems.

Lack of stereo option.

Use a power supply othen than what EHX provided you and the pedal will sound worse. And its not about the current draw. Same thing happens with the Oceans 11.

The pedal appears to be harder to handle than it really is.
To unlock the pedals full potential you have to spend time with the sub menu. I always read the manual if Im trying something new.

There are 3 chorus modes available through the mode button, if you change the sub menu settings on one mode , it affects all of them.

Tap tempo isnt available on all effects. Cant really understand why.

Finally take this review with a grain of salt, Im no expert after all.

Pro:
+ Great sounding effects
+ Power supply included
+ Customizable modes with secondary knob functions: each mode can have up to 5 editable parameters
+ Also has momentary mode: effect can be activated for the duration you hold the footswitch down
Con:
- Doesn't save every setting of the individual modes when switching between them, e.g.: you'll probably have to readjust the knobs when going from tremolo to filter
- It turns on, when cycling power, even if it was on bypass before

In conclusion, I'm happy with my purchase. I think it's worth the price if you're looking for an all-purpose modulation effect.

Fantastic pedal, crazy good features and sounds!
Coen Bijpost 26.05.2020
This pedal might seem unimpressive, but its sounds and features rival even the most expensive modulation multi-effects. Almost every modulation type has multiple modes and multiple hidden parameters, so you can tweak to your hearts desire. And boy do they sound good. And the most impressive feature is the envelope modes, where the depth or rate of an effect reacts to the force of your strumming. That is something that way more expensive units tend not to have. So much fun! Highly recommend!
