I primarily bought this for use as a simple down shifter for alternative tunings but also to experiment with some of its extensive other features. Because of a small price difference between it and a more specialised unit I thought why not buy something that can do a whole bunch more.
Unfortunately it sounds really bad to my ears for my use case. There is a distinctly metalic sound to it that is hard to ignore. Another huge issue is the unit introduces a lot of noise into the signal even just sitting there switched off. You try to do all the extras to have things more or less noise-less and then this just ruins everything. There are ways to do true bypass around problematic pedals like this but this should have definitely came built-in given how obviously noisy the circuit is.
Other than the above the pedal is well built and the possibilities it offers are vast. I can see why people who need the other 99% of its capabilities swear by it and can deal with its problems. For others, try looking elsewhere or better yet get another guitar for different tunings...
