Electro Harmonix Platform Compressor/Limiter

I'm used to having a compressor do a single thing, and this unit came up very short of my expectations. It is certainly well built. There are plenty of controls. But, at least from my perspective, the sound just fell flat. I think I'd be better off with an actual compressor, with no additional functions. This was acting counter to what I was looking for: bring small amounts of gain up in level, while keeping the overall tone at the same, or similar level, while addign sustain to the mix. Fo me, it provided none of these.
