Loud, Proud and Stage bound.
Venzetti 21.06.2017
The day my Engl E412VS arrived my neighbours knocked on my front door, twice. Once to tell me that if I didn't stop playing guitar so loudly they'd call the cops and once to ask to borrow some sugar.

This cab is a great, full sounding american style cab. Engl come in with a versatile, modern sound that harbours back to the classic Marshall cabs while still having it's own, unique sound profile.

While I mainly play metal, this puppy is even good with full clean tones, reverb has no bounders, leads blister their way to the front and heavy dirty guitar takes a bite out of you using this cab.

My only con was one that was to be expected, and that was a slight fizz in one of the speakers out of the box, this went away after prolonged playing, but it's worth noting that Engl aren't infallible.

I've ordered this for my ENGL Invader 150.
However I've been using it with a lot of different heads - Marshalls, Peaveys, EVHs etc...

The cab has awsome mids, very clear tone.
I usualy borrow it to other musicians durring gigs, and everyone loves it.

The only downside - it's quite heavy.. but that's what you get with most 4x12 cabs..

Great quality cabs

When buying a cab I decided to take one brand set and chose this one to complete my rig based on ENGL E650 Ritchie Blackmore signature model.
This cab is extremely sturdy (I cannot imagine how's sturdy XXL model then!), so I don't know what you should do to break the frame, maybe just with the aid of a sledge hammer :) Good inner isolation and wiring and very nice looking black metal grill.
Loaded with Celestion Vintage 30 (IMO the most versatile speaker) it has a good clear sound and thanks to the construction has lots of bottom end.
In pair with ENGL amp even at half-volume the sound really crushes you and knocking you down of your feet :)

A
Built like a tank, Sounds really good.

I've been fortunate to have played through several makes and models of 4x12 cabs. Engl's pro cabs are built better than most, and are arguable as tough as any Mesa Boogie cab.Sound-wise, the vintage 30's are a perfect fit to the cab.
I've A/B this cab with the following, A stock Marshall JCM900A, a Marshall Silver Jubilee A and B cabs, a Hughes Kettner CC4x12 B with Celestion Vintage 30's, a H & K CC 4x12 A with 2 Celestion GT75's and 2 Vintage 30's.
This cab provides the most balanced tone (to my ears).
