Finally competition to Elixir's
Like in the topic, finally some string manufacturer dared to design guitar strings that may compete with good old Elixir's. The sound is bright and they tend not to buzz as Elixirs may have. Also, they are not covered with a material that is used with Elixirs so I presume that using some string cleaner would be beneficial and will extend strings lifespan.

Believe the hype!
After watching several glowing reviews on youtube, I decided to take the plunge with a six string set of Ernie Ball slinky cobalt, and hang the expense... The sheer tone improvement and longevity were more than worth the money. I was delighted when EB saw sense and introduced a seven string set! Not only do they deliver excellent tone and staying power, the gauge selections in this set are very well balanced, with a mighty 62 on the seventh string. I had previously been compelled to change strings after only a couple of recording sessions to preserve the sustain and clarity... with cobalts I am five songs in and they are still bright and powerful. Now, I wonder when they'll introduce an eight string set... Many thanks Ernie Ball!

Nice range on these strings
These strings serve me very well playing a wide range of genres.
I use a lot of legato and tapping in my playing and I find these strings to hold up very well and sound clear on low, mid and high frequencies.
I haven't come across an issues with this product.

Great for drop tuning!
Bought these for recording a single with my old band. They have a massive low end tone, with enough clarity to make them great for low tunings. They didn't stay this way for as long as I'd hoped though. The next day the guitar needed a new set of strings despite them being cleaned after playing.

A step up!
Been using standard Slinky's for 15 years now. I decided to try cobalts a while ago and I'm really satisfied. More low end, more highs, more output. This particular set is great for lower tunings. Works perfectly with Drop A. Oh, and they seem to last longer than nickel wound strings which is also cool. Recommended!

Good
Good for the A#, but I reccomend better around 10-56 set for this tunning.

Long-awaited
It's really true what they say about the Cobalt strings.
This is a must for all guitar players, especially if you want that little extra out of your strings to get a bit more "twank" / "output".
The Cobalt defines the tone excellent and from the very moment I put a set of Cobalt on, I'll probably never go back "original" strings.
Thanks Ernie Ball! And thanks Thomann for brilliant price on this set of strings!

Love these!
These strings have so much attack, you'd be surprised if then didn't punch you in the face.
Clarity in B tuning is spot on, I would though have liked a thicker b string. I do not like the feel of these when going towards drop g#/g
But for what they are, they are worth every öre
