Good strings if you like a scooped sound
I got these strings for my Stingray. They're great strings for the classic Ray sound. Powerful lows, scooped mids, rather bright for nickle plated strings. In a way they're the exact opposite of GHS Boomers which are all about lower mids.
I have to admit that neither Slinkys not Stringrays are my personal favourites but it's a nice sound to have in my arsenal and for anyone craving that scooped sound the Slinkys are great.
One negative though: They don't seem to last very long.
I recommend these strings for anyone looking for powerful lows, sizzling highs and somewhat scooped mids. Vintage P-bass fans may want to look elsewhere.

Reliable and long lasting.
Probably the best strings for maintaining brightness over a long period. Once the brightness starts to fade, they still manage to keep a mellowed sound like a bright flatwound. Perfect for me.

Nice strings but expensive !
I use these strings for half a year and they almost sound like in January, when I got them.
Ernie Ball of course is, in my opinion, one of the best manufactures of strings in the world. But nevertheless they are expensive. On the other hand when you compare these strings with other strings, 25 ? is a OK. Because bass strings are expensive anyway.
The sound of the Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky strings is very good and crisp, and I really love the open sound. And these strings are sustainable; because after a half year they sound almost the same. My, of course quite cheap bass, sounds much better since I use these strings. I had never believed before, that strings can make a so big difference in sound quality.

If it isn't broken, don't fix it!
I've used these strong for donkeys years now. Reliable, they do however lose their zing quite quickly but will last for ages. My "go to," strings. Recommended to all.

Good but
The welded package is unique and well-known for Earnie Ball. The strings don't have any wiring with cloth, at the end they have golden ball-ends. Strung onto the bass you have much highs in the first hours of playing. The next day you have a different sound, it is more middle-driven with less highs than expected.

Good strings in the mid-range price segment
First they sound really great and powerful and feel really good on the fingers. Unfortunately, the great sound doesn't last that long. You can play the strings for a longer time, but they lose their brightness quite fast and then they are just some ordinary strings - still not bad, but that's it.
I play Elixir strings now and wouldn't go back to Ernie Ball, but for someone, who doesn't want to spend more than 50 euros for one set of strings and is willing to lower his sights after a short while, the Hybrid Slinkys should be a very good choice!

Great Strings For Drop C or D Tuning.
I bought these kind of reluctantly because as a guitarist I have never been the greatest fan of Ernie Ball strings. They do however seem to have a better range the most competitors and I have purchased a couple of various sets of Ernie Ball bass strings I have been happy. These are no exception. Good strings the are perfect for drop tuning bass.

Good bass strings
Strings are good, but on the fingers after game you will see black dirties.
