Amazing instrument, exceeded all my expectations!

I recently purchased the Fender Player II Telecaster in 3-colour sunburst (which I lovingly named Amiga Cálida), and I couldn't be happier with this guitar. This is my very first Fender and my first Telecaster ever, so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect—and it completely blew me away!
​Out of the box, the guitar was already great, but after a fresh set of 10s, a quick fretboard conditioning, and dialling in the action and neck relief, it turned into an absolute dream. The unexpected highlight for me is just how ridiculously comfortable the neck and the body feel. The satin finish on the neck and the smooth overall ergonomics make playing an absolute breeze. Plus, the rosewood fretboard feels so incredible that bending notes feels virtually effortless.
​Thanks to the H/S pickup combination, this Telecaster is amazingly versatile. The electronics are superb—it easily handles heavy gain and high-amp setups, while still delivering a crystal-clear, rich clean tone.
​I honestly cannot put this guitar down! A truly fantastic, inspiring instrument.

Grundsolide Gitarre mit tollen Features!

Ich habe diese Gitarre bestellt, um aus Platzgründen "eine" Standalone Gitarre für daheim und für Auftritte mit wilden Genremischungen zu erhalten. In dieser Hinsicht hat mich die Player II Serie wirklich überzeugt!

Das gute Stück kam unversehrt und doppelt eingepackt in gepolstertem Gigbag bei mir an. Der erste Eindruck war toll - Saubere Lackierung, abgerundetes Griffbrett, satinierter, schlanker Hals...optisch und vom Gefühl her wirklich top! Die vielerorts beschriebenen Features nenne ich nicht alle erneut - Aber alle Modifikationen sind wirklich einen Aufpreis wert!

Die Pickups klingen schön, der Halshumbucker sehr warm, sehr laut, und gesplittet fast ein wenig nach Singlecoil - man darf aber nicht DEN Telesound erwarten! Die Mittelposition kann man in beiden Modi wunderbar für Rhythmus verwenden, auch um den dicken Sound des Humbuckers etwas zu öffnen. Am Steg dann ein für "Noiseless" gar nicht so steril klingender, typisch höhenlastiger Singelcoil der auch twangen kann!
Leider kam der völlig falsch eingestellt an, sodass ich fast von einem Elektronikfehler ausging, bis mir einfiel, das Teil mal ein ordentliches Stück Richtung Saiten zu befördern...Dann war auch der Pegel beider Pickups angeglichen.

Was mir nicht gefiel, waren tatsächlich nur Äußerlichkeiten...Die modernen Saitenreiter sind echt nicht meins und auch der Sunburst Ton konnte mein Herz nicht erweichen.
Da es dann eine Made in Japan Telecaster mit fast gleichen Spezifikationen zum ähnlichen Preis in meinem gewünschten Look gab, habe ich dann doch dort zugegriffen...

Ich würde behaupten, für jeden Spieler, der nicht gerade sein Geld auf der Bühne verdient, ist diese Gitarre ein würdiges Arbeitstier, welches auch noch den Geldbeutel schont. Wer den "klassischen" Telesound braucht, sollte auf den Humbucker verzichten!
