Excellent, wallet-friendly bass
I use this bass in my bedroom studio where it serves it's purpose very well. It's usually plugged into an audio interface and is then recorded into my DAW.
Sound:
Great sound is somewhat subjective, but it sounds really good to my ears. It definitely sounds like something more expensive. Vintage and modern sound alike, this one got you covered.
Playability:
Although great sounding, I wouldn't bother if I don't enjoy playing it. I only have satin necks (guitars) so I was a bit hesitant to go for a glossy neck, but it feels quite nice to play and the slim neck provides great reachability and comfort even in the lower register. The bass also nicely set-up when it arrived. It didn't have any fret buzz and the action was near perfect for my liking.
Build Quality
The build quality feels durable and solid. The plastic caps on the volume and tone knobs feel like cheap plastic, which they most likely are, but the knobs themselves turn effortlessly and smoothly.
Appearance
What can I say, this bass looks lovely. The body finish is a lot darker than I had expected, but maybe that's just this one in particular. It turned out great though, because I don't have a "tanned" headstock like the one in the pictures.
Value
It's a cheap bass that sounds great, plays great, feels great and looks absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely Fabulous Bass
This is my third bass in the last 10 years. I had stopped playing after moving to Spain in 1999, but picked up a cheap bass and not so cheap keyboards to begin playing again. I upgraded my second bass with some new pups, but still wasn't entirely convinced with the sound I was getting. Then I saw the reviews and generally positive feedback on this Squier CV 70 Jazz Bass. I was able to play one here in Spain, and loved it. So, when Thomann had this model for 369 euros, I had to get it.
It was delivered to my door in three business days, and right out of the box, it was perfectly set up. The only thing I have changed are the strings, as I prefer the bite that Rotosound 66LD provides. This is a fantastic bass. I just played a show last night, and it sounded great. Several people complimented me on the appearance, which is great, but most importantly, they complimented me on the tone.
I am in a cover band that plays music from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. This bass can handle it all. It didn't even go out of tune with the brand new strings I put on the day of the show.
If you're like me, and don't have the means to be able to afford a professional bass, this Squier CV 70 Jazz Bass is an absolute steal.

Fantastic instrument
I am a complete beginner, I bought this bass with the intention to learn from the ground up. I play at home and don't plan to gig with it.
The bass looks stunning, sometimes I catch myself simply admiring it instead of playing. The neck feels very nice to play on, even as a beginner it's very playable.
I have no experience with other basses, but it might be interesting to point out: I find the instrument quite heavy, so I would definitely recommend using a good strap with it.
