Great distortion pedal!
Finally a pedal that does what it needs to do. Most dual distortion pedals have a boost section that in general boosts the gain of the pedal, and I wanted and needed a volume boost. I have owned a Blackstar HT Metal pedal for a long time, but it was to bulky, and needed a seperate power supply and had a tube in it. For a non stop gigging musician those 3 things are a no no, at least for me. So with this product I got a normal sized pedal, two volume independant channels (gain trimpot inside of pedal, awesome) and it runs on 9V (or 18V with a double cable). And the sound... fantastic. Some of the online videos don't do this pedal justice. When you try it and play it, the feel of a Friedman tube amp that you get is unbelievable... the EQ is not extreme and is very usable, it has a lot of gain but even all the way up it is not unusable, the little presence knob and the tight switch is fantastic too for fine tuning your sound depending on what guitar and amp you use. Very versatile. Usually I can say at least one bad thing about a product but this time I have nothing.. Thank you Friedman.

This Overdrive surprised me
We play heavy and oppressive music, I needed an overdrive so that it had two different overdrives on board and so that it was possible to quickly switch from one to another with one click, to be honest, I bought it only for this reason)) , I didnβt think that it was possible to surprise me with the sound of an overdrive, I had all sorts of different ones, both expensive and cheap, good and bad, some of which I donβt even remember how they sound. And thatβs why when I bought it, I was skeptical about it in terms of sound, first of all, I needed the convenience of using two different channels. But when I received it and it stood in my pedalboard and started to sound, I thought only one thing - where have you been before!? This is simply an amazing overdrive, it has so much power that you will never need so much and at the same time it gives a sparkling, clean and well-defined sound. For heavy riffs, I use the green channel, and for light acoustic parts, the blue one. Yes, it is not cheap, but it is worth it. I advise everyone not to waste money on all sorts of nonsense, which you will then want to change to another, and the next one will not be much better than the first, and so they accumulate and we spend a lot of money on unnecessary things - stop! Just buy this one and stop the senseless and expensive search!
This is the best overdrive pedal

a high gain monster that sounds great at lower gain settings
This pedal has heaps upon heaps of gain. Surely more than anyone could ever need.
Modeled after the famous BE-100, this thing sounds amazing, very amp-like.
The lower gain channel sounds great with the gain at 9-o'clock.
+ dual channel is great for dialing in rhythm and lead sounds
+ lots of tonal flexibility with the gain, volume, eq, presence and tight controls
- quite expensive, but what do you expect for a dual-channel boutique pedal?

The holy W
If you play classic rock, this is the pedal for you. It will of course give as much gain as you want for any style.
I turned down the trim pots inside and itβs absolutely perfect. A real crunch would on CH1, and CH2 for lead.
This is the only pedal you will need. Plexi sound (a real plexi sound!!) is amazing, but this pedal can do so much more. Cuts through any mix.
10/10!

Great sounding and flexible pedal
This pedals is a really nice way to get a clean and warm sound and for my taste can act as a nice preamp with a clean power amp or to shape the guitar input for an ampsim. It doesn't have the dynamics of a valve preamp but, for the prices it awesome and provides access to the Friedman sound without breaking the bank.

Simply the best!
First of all, I will say that this is the most versatile OD / distortion pedal I've ever had. You can get low OD, bluesy greasy tone with tweaking internal gain knob, or go fullbore metal (pun intended). All knobs do their job with great precision. Sounds great with single coils, aswell as with humbuckers.
I've read somewhere that it sounds like cranked Marshall on steroids. It's even better. It's Friedman and it deserves to be recognized.

A great distortion pedal
After playing for many years, I saved some money to get a nice distortion. This pedal sounds really nice, but it sounded much nicer to me in the videos I watched. Still love it and keeping it. When you turn the pedal on, it gives you a huge sound. And pedal is versatile within that sound scale. Mid knob and second channel is worth it to get the deluxe.
