Perfect for my 12
I found standard capos to be a little fussy with my 12 string guitar, I was getting unwanted buzz and it was a struggle to fit the capo without bending strings out of place.
For me, this capo was the perfect solution. It’s notched surface eliminated all of the issues I was having.
The capo is well-made, robust and easy to use.
This capo was a perfect fit for my Danelectro, but if you play a different variety of 12 string I’d recommend you check to see if the grooves line up with your strings, some 12s are strung high-low where others are strung low-high, this could make a difference. Also, it might not be the right fit if your 12 string has a notably wider fretboard to accommodate the extra strings.

Almost perfect
This is a beautiful piece of hardware and does a good job on my new Furch 12-string provided it stays on the lower frets. The problem is that most of the songs I need it for need the capo at the 7th fret (Hotel California, If I Needed Someone, Here Comes The Sun etc) and this requires a lot of clamping in order for the high E-strings to ring out without being choked. It isn't the end of the world but it isn't perfect either. If it worked a little easier on the high strings it would get a 5-star review.
The build quality is superb though and I like the Newport range for being just that little bit slimmer and more ergonomic than the Performance range (though to be fair I still have the mark 1 and I understand they are a lot better now).

Now you can not use two capos at once.

The best 12-string capo ever
All 12-string players know very well the problem with standard capos: due to the very different gauge of the two strings of each pair, you typically need a lot of pressure, which unavoidably affect the tuning. G7 found the perfect solution by a clever design of the pad, that compensates for the different gauges. Very low pressure is now enough to get a perfect sound without affecting the tuning: no need to tune the guitar every time you put the capo, so much time saved !

Nice For Price
I wanted to get a good capo for my 12-string, since the others that I have owned never worked probably without my hands getting hurt in the process. Finally I got this one and it's a lot easier to use. It works fine and I can use it.
The cons about this is just that it takes a bit too long to change it at live concerts

Studio quality
Very well made and engineered. Feels and works like an expensive piece of equipment.

This is the only capo that I have found that works well on a 12 stringed guitar. It can be quite fiddly to set up, but can be adjusted to operate without applying too much pressure to the strings.
