Doesn't fit the bridge

I bought this for one of my students. Unfortunately, this mute doesn't fit the bridge. It doesn't mute all the strings and it falls off. I tried my own mute and that worked fine, so the mute was the problem and not the bridge. Unfortunately I had thrown all the package away, otherwise I would have sent it back.
