Gibson 57 Classic Vintage NC

I replaced my Epiphone Les Paul's neck pickup with this one.
It made a huge difference to the sound, so I sadly don't need an upgrade yet. It's clear, I can get a great Wes tone out of it, and makes a supper funky yet warm middle position. What I don't like is the massive overpowering bass and scooped mids. It doesn't come close to an original PAF which had less bass and was a bit single-coil-y. Other than that, it is a solid investment.

The internet love 57’s - and I had to test replacing the ‘61s in my Les Paul.
First: They sound great - but in this guitar the neck was a bit dark, and had to be set very low. I did go back to the 61’s in the LP, but ended up with ordering a cheap Epi 339 just to test these out. I think they will fit that sound perfectly.
Conclusion: Great pickup - for the right guitar
