The perfect desk!
robvalca 26.08.2020
After looking for so many studio desks, I finally selected this and I'm really happy with the purchase. The desk has plenty of space and is 1.5m long. Is not too depth but offers a lot of space for placing keyboard laptops or other stuff on the working area. Rock solid and easy to assemble (less than 1h with help). I give only 4 stars on quality because of the keyboard tray. One of the rails came faulty, and thankfully Thomann send me a rails kit replacement really quickly (kudos for this!). In general the tray seems not very stable, which could be a problem if you put a heavy keyboard on it. In any case, I'm really satisfied with the purchase and I would buy it again without any doubt.

AO
A perfectly good desk
Are Ormberg 10.10.2025
First of all, this desk gives you a very large working surface, even with the 3u racks populated. I was able to fit a keyboardless Korg Arp Odyssey FS in one of the rack spaces, since I didn’t attach the rack mounts there, with plenty of room for keyboard, mouse, effects pedals, books, laptops, everything else I needed access to. The top panel comfortably fits usb audio interfaces, a large monitor and monitor speakers.

Cable management is very tidy, once you arrange everything in the rear cable shelf it becomes hidden away. There is plenty of room in there for adapters, transformers and power strips.

The build quaility is generally quite good, and the whole desk is very solid and handles a lot of weight.

The exception here is the keyboard drawer itself, which started visibly bending towards a u-shape when I put in a DX-11. This is not as light as an equivalent simple midi controller, but lighter than most synths and not full width. I was comfortable with playing normally, but i was afraid to use the full range of aftertouch. However, it survived several years of usage without any actual wear or damage, and when I removed the keyboard the tray was completely straight.

Overall, I recommend this as a production desk, but if you want to use a heavy keyboard and also want to perform with no concerns about anything giving in, I would recommend using a keyboard stand next to it. If you’re used to playing with a light touch (and don’t have to trigger 40 year old aftertouch sensors), there shouldn’t be any issues anyway.
