OMG - EUB!

Bass Solo Take One ???? 04.11.2023

I have always wanted to explore the sounds of an upright bass, and in my opinion this was a risk free perfect introduction.
The build quality is fantastic, the long flat wound strings on the fretless neck feels amazing.
Then of course there is the warm luscious sound that doesn’t disappoint, giving a new range of tones that are not available on bass guitar.

Hace unos años que toco el bajo y estuve probando un contrabajo acústico en una escuela y me quedé enamorado del instrumento. Debido a que los acústicos están completamente fuera de mi presupuesto y de mi espacio de almecanamiento, un EDB parecía una buena opción. No estaba seguro si el sonido o el tacto darían el pego pero la verdad es que es increíble. Mi profesor de bajo, contrabajista profesional, está enamorado. También da la talla en conciertos. Los más puristas no estarán convencidos, obviamente no es lo mismo que uno acústico, pero de verdad que es un instrumento profesional como cualquier otro.

Ich mag das Teil, Obacht bei der Tasche.

Nach 45 Jahren wollte ich mal wieder Kontrabass spielen, ein richtiger wäre mir aber zu groß gewesen. Nach kurzer Einspielzeit und ein bisschen nach den eigenen Bedürfnissen einstellen, ging schon einiges. Mit dem richtigen Amp passt es auch klanglich.
Da ich dirket gekauft habe, konnte ich das gute Stück auch vor dem Kauf begutachten und anspielen.
Mittlerweile kommt es bei Muggen neben der Bassgitarre zum Einsatz. Das spiele ich es direkt im Ständer.
Bei der Tasche sollte man aufpassen, da ist mir ein Träger beim Aufnehmen gerissen. Zum Glück gab es keinen großen Sturz. Deshalb auch der Punkt Abzug bei der Verarbeitung.

Impecable pour travailler quand on manque de place

Elle ne remplacera jamais une contrebasse acoustique, mais si vous manquez de place mais voulez travailler votre instrument c'est parfait. Même pas besoin d'un ampli, un casque suffit. Le support "ventral" fait la différence par rapport à d'autre modèle électrique, il a une forme qui permet de bien tenir l'instrument. Le talon est à l'allemande et non à la française mais comme il n'est pas aussi marqué que sur une contrebasse acoustique, cela ne se remarque pas en jouant. Le micro pour le son est correct, le résultat final dépendra plutôt de l'ampli utilisé, mais encore une fois ce n'est pas un instrument de concert (quoique pour expérimenter, pourquoi pas!).
