A boat paddle would of been cheaper
94 Can $ didn't break the bank but...come on...1st got rid of the factory strings...tried to set intonation...ha!..2 of the tuning machines fell out...ya..fell out with no strings on...the bridge is not set so you have to figure the correct angle in order to set the intonation...ha!..once I figured this all out...it still needs to be tuned after each song..er strum..er whatever...I won't send it back because of a few scratches whilst performing said set up..conclusion fun to play when in tune but won't stay in tune...the picup not too very good but you can hear it...I may have got a dud...it happens...changing the tuning machines will make it playable, probably get them right here at Thomann....cheers all

Not a deal
Usually Harley Benton provides excellent deals. This is not the case at all. The instrument arrived in poor conditions and it was full of screws to put back in, the bridge in the wrong place, with the strings misplaced too, the pickup magnet completely dirty and unscrewed. Hard to tune for this reason so it didnt sound like anything like for the first week. Then I changed the strings for the second time ( because it came with the strings all broken) with others and it started playing decently. The fingerboard wood is really bad and the frets are not stable. All the pegs were loose and badly set. A little more care in building would have been better. for the same price I could of bought a Fender. Usually this brand is a really good deal but this instrument is mediocre for the price.

Good mandolin
It arrived in good condition.
The only problem was that the pickup did not work.
