Product quality has gone down!
Roeletti 24.08.2015
I've used these strings for 3-4 years now. They used to be really good, long lasting and sounded fresh for a good amount of time.

But the last batch i got is REALLY bad. The High-e and b string, brake within 2-3 hours of playing. This is very short and makes it very expensive to change the strings every couple of days.

If you are looking for cheap and fresh set of strings that will get you through 1 gig, i really recommend these.
If you want to use these strings for a longer amount of time, or a reliable set, these will NOT live up to that!

String broke while stringing guitar
itsmekeuh 14.03.2020
Well, I really wanted to give these a go but unfortunately the high E string snapped at the ball end while I was stretching it during stringing the guitar. So I immediately took them off again. Strings should not break at the first bend.

Not great

Not good either, sadly.
I didn't realise just how spoilt we are these days for great sounding strings - until I tried these.
Oh well, it was worth a shot.

No good if you've got a Bigsby
Staggerin' Jon 13.11.2018
I can't really talk about the sound as the 2 packs of strings I bought are still in my drawer.
They have solid ball-ends with no holes; as all of my electric guitars have got Bigsbys, you can't get them onto the little rods that hold the strings on. I'm probably not explaining this very well if you've never strung a Bigsby, but take my word for it; it doesn't work...

Great for the price

These are good strings for what you pay for them.
You have to be careful which guitar you put them on. I used them on my PRS and Les Paul. The PRS was fine but because the fret wire on the Les Paul is softer the strings have worn into them which means a big repair bill.

Tarnished out of the pack. OK for spares or cheap guitars
Angelus502 17.04.2015
I bought some 9's and 10's in these, both had a hole punched in the plastic bags and straight out of the pack they were tarnished :(

I've tried a lot of strings over the past 30 years, and while not the worst strings I have seen ( cough... rusty spots and flaws on Ernie Ball's ), tarnished strings always sound flat to me and never last, so I wasn't going to put them on a $1000+ guitar.

While these are probably on par or close to Dean Markley, Gibson, GHS, DR and better than the Ernie Ball's I've used...... Elixer's or D'Addario IMHO are so much better and last weeks not days before they need changing.

The strings themselves look ok, just tarnished. Could be a good product if Thomman can get them vacuum packed.

Not that good. If you want to be able to tune your guitar, buy another brand. These are really cheap, and I think the quality is too. So, IMO you should buy from a major brand.
