Prefer it to cane

I returned to playing sax after a very long brake, back in my days there were no synthtic reeds at all. So to decide what I prefer I play every day back to back this and regular cane reeds alternating them several times a day.
And I like this Onyx very mach - it's much easier to resppond, sound is strong and clear, it's consistent through the time. Cane reed changes it properties after short playing becoming more and more wet.
I yet to see the longevity of service life to justify the price difference, but in all other respects I prefer Onyx.
Later I plan to alternate it also with Diddario Plasticover and choose between those 2.
I understand when people coming from cane can't get used to it, as mouth feeling is rather different, but for newcomers it's a greate choice for unbiased start.
