It's not on the description, but it's made of wood. You realize it specially when you start to sand it down and you can smell the pine.
It fitted well on my HCT-500 Contemporary, but you need to sand it down a lot.

The looks on this nut is unbeatable the white-black sandwich does really something on the finished look.
I also got the Höfner Potiknob H909/15 to complete the look.

Tone-wise, I can really say much beacause I went from tape-wound to flats (much finer, therefore the need of this nut). So the whole sound profile changed, but the sustain is really better now and the hollow-esque sound is much more present, the later probably due to the string type.

nut de 3 laminas descoladas - foi o que recebi basicamente.
Adquiri este nut para substituir numa réplica de um Rickenbacker, mas acho que não lhe vou dar uso. Além das laminas descoladas, tem um empeno considerável.
Na verdade parece que fui à loja do Chinês comprar um pedaço de algo.

Höfner bass Nut? não, obrigado

Contras: Má construção num elemento tão simples;
péssimo acabamento (um dos lados vem descolado)

Der Rohling ist ausreichend groß bemessen und die Plattenstärke ist mit dem Original identisch. Leider ist der Plattenabschnitt krumm wie eine Banane und so hart (was für die eigentliche Bestimmung ja positiv ist), daß er sich kalt nur im Schraubstock kurzzeitig begradigen läßt, nach Entnahme aber wieder in die krumme Ursprungsform zurückkehrt. Das Aufwärmen in der Sonne bringt auch keinen dauerhaften Erfolg und wie stark man das Teil erwärmen kann ohne daß es Schaden nimmt, habe ich noch nicht ausprobiert, zumal dabei noch nicht sicher wäre, daß es die begradigte Form dann auch im erkalteten Zustand behält. Vielleicht ist es ja nur ein Ausreißer und das Problem mit einer anderen Charge beseitigt., aber aber für mich ist es so leider erstmal nicht verwendbar
