These strings are unbelievably good for the price. I fitted a set to my 1974 Esperanza 700 this morning and tonight after only 4-5 re-tensions they are holding pitch and sounding great. Resonant basses, warm trebles and good transition from bass to treble across the G third.
I also have a set of HSS Supremes which I haven't tried yet, but if these HCS strings sound so good then I am expecting the HSS to sound, as their name implies, supreme! So watch out for my review.

For the price of these strings, you simply cant go wrong. I only pick up my Classic guitar every few weeks, but these strings remain bright and loud for a long time, and hold the tuning very well. Nice crisp even tone.Excellent strings. Sound clean and loud highly recommended.

HÖFNER Gitarrensaiten und keine anderen

Ich spiele nun schon einige Jahre lang klassische Gitarre und habe auch klassische Gitarrenstunden und benutze ausschließlich die HÖFNER HCS Gitarrensätze, da sie einfach unschlagbar sind. Ich hatte mal andere ausprobiert, aber die kamen an die Qualität der HÖFNER Saiten nicht heran.
Die Verarbeitung ist wunderbar und der Klang fast nicht zu toppen. Von Anfang bis Ende ein schön ausgewogener, warmer Klang, der eigentlich zu allen klassischen, aber auch modernen Rhythmen und Musikstylen passt. Die zusätzliche D-Saite ist natürlich auch nicht schlecht, wobei ich sie noch nie gebraucht habe, da die Saiten ewig zu halten scheinen, was nicht bedeutet, dass man sie nicht nach einiger Zeit mal wechseln sollte.
Also klanglich überzeugen die Saiten HÖFNER HCS auf jeden Fall und das ist ja, worauf es bei Gitarrensaiten ankommt.
