(Fast) perfekt ...

Stille Basser sind tief 27.03.2025

aber was ist schon perfekt?

Ich habe lange auf diesen Bass gewartet. Nachdem ich Thomann darauf aufmerksam machte, dass in der Beschreibung fälschlicherweise "lefthand" stand, kletterte er im Verkaufsrang 260 auf 60 hoch (gern geschehen...). Es handelt sich natürlich den Bildern entsprechend um einen Rechtshänder Bass.
Ibanez hat einen unerschütterlich guten Ruf, dementsprechend war meine Erwartungshaltung hoch.
Der Bass wird in einem schönen robusten Case mitgeliefert, in dem er gut liegt mit allerlei Platz für Ersatzsaiten, Werkzeug, Pflegeprodukte etc.
Es war Liebe auf den ersten Blick, die matte dunkelblau/silberne Farbe ist gut aufgetragen. Hier und da fühlt sich die Farbe aber etwas rau an, auch am Hals waren kleine Unregelmäßigkeiten spürbar, was mich nicht weiter stört. Alles ist solide da wo es hin soll.
Nachdem ich bisher auf normal gebündeten Bässen gespielt habe, habe ich mich hier zum ersten Mal an einen Multiscale herangewagt. Anfangs etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig kommt man aber doch überraschend schnell rein. Es macht richtig Spaß und der Sound ist sagenhaft klar, die Regelungen von Volume und Bass ebenfalls. Trotzdem würde ich die Features eher als Standart bezeichnen, wenn auch als hochwertigen, für die Bühne müssen jedenfalls noch Security Locks dran. Mit meinem Darkglass Alpha Omega Photon versteht er sich super und gemeinsam ergeben sie das böse knackige Pärchen, das ich für meine Musik (Metal/Metalcore) erreichen wollte. Den behalte ich und gebe ihn nie wieder her!

Fazit: wie gesagt - nahezu perfekt. Die Mankos sind Kleinigkeiten. Die Pros' überwiegen deutlich. Er kann optisch wie auch klanglich überzeugen und ist sicher für die Basser, die in die Welt der Multiscale Instrumente einsteigen wollen, eine ausgezeichnete Wahl.
