I am a beginner bassist and I can say that I am really happy with this beautiful short-scale Ibanez bass! The quality and sound are excellent for the price. I have the one with the purple finish and I cannot stop looking at it - very beautiful! The hardware is very good and sturdy and I am not sure if the machine head is just the stock one but it does a very good job of keeping the instrument in tune while practicing. I used to play guitar so it is a very smooth transition for me. It may not be anybody's preference but it is for me for sure and I would recommend it to beginners with a guitar "background" due to its size, beginners in general, and kids.

Kleine und günstige Alternative für spezielle Ansprüche

Dieser Markenbass im Miniformat richtet sich sicherlich nicht an gestandene und erfahrene Bassisten. Er hat die Größe einer handelsüblichen E-Gitarre und ist daher für Gitarristen geeignet, die ab und zu auch mal zum Bass greifen wollen. Die zweite Zielgruppe sind in meinen Augen Einsteiger mit kleinen Händen, die zunächst mal die Grundlagen des Bassspiels erlernen wollen.

Mit der Marke Ibanez kann man im Grunde nichts falsch machen. So ist der Bass grundsolide verarbeitet und klanglich vielseitig ob der verschiedenen Pickup-Optionen. Auch optisch macht das Instrument eine gute Figur. Aufgrund der kurzen Mensur sind die Saiten naturgemäß nicht ganz so straff gespannt wie bei einem Longscale-Bass.

Mit dem richtigen Verstärker bzw. Effekten lässt sich definitiv eine Menge aus dem GSRM20 rausholen, z. B. bei Aufnahmen im Heimstudio. Wer sich den eingangs beschriebenen Zielgruppen zugehörig fühlt, ist hiermit für nur ca. 200 Euro also bestens bedient.

NACHTRAG: Die D-Saite ist immer deutlich leiser als die anderen. Keine Ahnung, woran das liegen mag ...

Comme d'habitude avec Ibanez, on a un instrument au rapport qualité/prix très performant. C'est une basse destinée au jeunes débutants qu'un diapason standard pourrait rebuter. Cependant ce n'est absolument pas un jouet pour enfant. La qualité globale est surprenante: ajustements, vernis et accastillages sont réalisés avec soin. Réglage de l'intonation et de l'action des cordes à faire après la sortie du carton, et éventuellement une reprise de la courbure du manche. A ce tarif, aucun luthier n'a fait de réglages en sortie d'usine. Concernant le son et le confort de jeu, c'est du très très bon. Les micros sont qualitatifs et proposent une belle palette d'expression. Ma compagne (qui est de petit gabarit et violoniste de surcroit ) s'amuse et progresse très vite avec cette basse légère qu'elle préfère à celles que je possède déjà à la maison. Je ne peux que recommander cet achat. Excellente après quelques reprises de réglages.
