Ibanez short scale bass review

Nice bass for the price, plays well out of the box, good size for guitarists who want to play bass, or people with smaller hands who struggle with a full size bass neck. I have always like Ibanez guitars (played my first in 1987) and this bass was a gift for my daughter, she likes it very much.

Gutes Instrument, aber mit Verarbeitungsschwächen

Zunächst als Gitarrist in einer Band angefangen, dann hat der Bassist aufgehört, also hab ich seinen Job übernommen. Für den leichteren Umstieg musste es daher ein Shortscaler sein. Dass dieser Ibanez-Bass dann aber gleich dermaßen kurz ist hat mich doch etwas verwundert, er wirkt eher wie ein Instrument für Kinder. An diesen Look muss man sich erstmal gewöhnen, dem Sound ist das aber nicht abträglich, Tuning ist problemfrei und die Bespielbarkeit ist für einen Gitarristen natürlich fantastisch. Von dieser Seite kann ich das Ding also für Umsteiger sehr empfehlen.

Der niedrige Preis hat sich dann aber doch gerächt, ich hatte etwas Ärger mit den Potis. Nicht nur, dass die Kappen (genau wie die Tuner) sehr sehr billig wirken (ich tippe mal auf Kunststoff statt Metall), eines der Potis war so schlecht verlötet, dass es bei etwas Druck auf die Kappe sofort den Geist aufgab. Ich hab von Hand nachlöten müssen, was ich zum Glück ein bisschen kann, sonst hätte ich den Bass zurückgeschickt und einen neuen verlangt.

Utilizo el bajo en un container de camiones con ampli fender y suena muy bien, estamos tocando horas y es el instrumento que más claro se escucha. Buena madera, buena sensación al cogerla y pesa lo que tiene que pesar. No tengo contras pero tampoco 5 estrellas
