Ich wollte ein einfaches Rock-Becken, was das Xist nicht wirklich liefert. Der Klang an sich ist gut, aber es mischt sich immer wieder etwas "gongiges" unter den eigentlich scharfen Beckenklang. Dieser fällt mitten im Spiel nicht so sehr auf, wie wenn man das Becken alleine hört, mich hat es aber auch nach einiger Zeit immer noch sehr gestört.
Zum Vergleich: Das Becken erinnert stark an ein Zildjian A Crash-Becken, während ich eher etwas in Richtung A-Custom gesucht habe. Für ein Brilliant-Becken ist das Xist nämlich überraschend dunkel. Ich würde jedem vor dem Kauf empfehle,n einmal zu vergleichen. Zu beiden Becken solltet ihr ein paar Sound-Beispiele online finden.

Nachdem ich ein paar Becken ausprobiert hatte und nicht fündig wurde, habe ich mir noch je ein Istanbul Agop 16" Xist Crash in Ausführung Brillant und Natural schicken lassen. Das Natural ist es geworden, es ist etwas tiefer und nicht ganz so rund und brillant wie das Samatya 16, ergänzt dieses aber ganz gut. Die brillante Version war mir zu schrill, zu heftige Ansprache, ich mag es eher etwas runder.
