Gebrauche das Becken zum Üben. Es spricht wunderbar sensibel auf die Schlagstärke an und hat einen weichen dunklen Klangcharakter. Selbst unterschiedliche Stockstärken und Kopfformen verändern direkt den Sound, bin sehr beeindruckt. Auch das Ancrashen im Randbereich erzeugt filigrane dezente Akzente.
Die Glocke ist eher klein und ziemlich flach gehalten. Sie setzt sich im Ton nicht besonders stark vom Becken ab und ist nur etwa lauter. Mir gefällt sie trotzdem, weil sie gut zum Grundcharakter paßt. Im Rock und Pop - Bereich ist das Becken sicherlich zu leise, aber im Jazz oder reinen Akustikumfeld ein echter Leckerbissen. Man kann sein Ridespiel wirklich noch verfeinern. Optisch mach das Becken erheblich mehr her als auf dem Foto.

Als Drummer ist man ja fast immer auf der Suche nach dem Ride Becken. Das SE Jazz Ride hat ein angenehmes, tolles Grundrauschen mit einem sehr schönen Ping darüber. Zumindest im jazzigen Bereich (von kleiner Besetzung bis Bigband) ist es inzwischen mein absolutes Lieblings Becken geworden.
