The main drawback are the two plastic locking mechanisms. They easily open during transport which makes it dangerous. As it is part of the green line, it is a rather strange choice for a plastic locking mechanism without the possibility to lock it by a key. The carbon variant is much better, with metal locks which can be locked with a key. The fit with a selmer SAII is also not great.

Net als zijn grotere broer voor de tenor is ook deze stylish en lichtgewicht. Heel blij mee, mijn yas280 past er perfect in. Ik heb maar 1 mini minpuntje: de ring waar op de achterkant de schouderriemen in moeten is net iets te klein waardoor de gespen wat frictie geven, dat is echt het enige. Met een moderne saxofoon heb je hier echt een heel fijn en mooi product.

Für alle Altsaxophonisten, die ein modernes Model spielen (z.B. -> J.K. SX90R) und ein Form-Case suchen, ist dieser Koffer nahezu ideal.
Als Pluspunkt sehe ich außerdem, dass man sein Mundstück & Es-Bogen, in dafür vorgesehene Fächer legen kann und nicht im Instrument verstauen muss.
Ich würde auch davon abraten ältere Modele mit kleineren Schallbecher im J.W. Case zu transportieren, da das Innenleben recht hart ist.
Im Vergleich zu anderen Form-Case?s (die ich probiert habe aber für mein Instrument leider zu klein waren) musste ich feststellen, dass die Stabilität der Außenhülle etwas fester sein könnte und die Verarbeitung ein wenig hochwertiger, dies ist für den Preis allerdings noch sehr zufriedenstellend.
