High quality
After deciding to tune my old piano on my own I first tried a low-budget solution from Amazon. The hammer did not exactly transmit my movements to the tuning screws of the piano and the results where therefore kind of poor and frustrating.
After switching to the K&M device even I could create an accceptable tuning for my piano.
The pro's will go for pro quality anyway, if you are a do-it-yourself guy like me, go at least for the K&M 167 or coonsider even more high end tools and avoid saving money here. You'll pay the price later with bad results, more frustration, wasted time, or buying a second device later.
If you are a beginner, make sure to order also the required muting tools (felt, wedges, ...).

Good tool
I bought it as an amateur piano player to tune the occasional out-of-tune string on my upright Kawai. The tool is of good quality and will do the job if you’re not a demanding professional, in which case I’d imagine you’d be looking for something more expensive. Not that you couldn’t do the full tuning with it - I did just that on several occasions, I’m just saying that pros have their own specialty tools. I showed it to my piano tuning professional, and he didn’t have anything against me doing it on my own.

Excellent for older piano's
Great tool, decent quality. The smaller head fits older piano's tuning pins well. Get this one instead of K&M 166 if you're in doubt (also see my review of K&M 166), it's way better. Heads appear harder and fit the pins better.

Works perfectly
I should firstly say - I'm an amateur tuner. I have used this tuning hammer on 4 different pianos, every time successfully. I recently had a professional piano technician tune my own piano. I was fearing that I would damage the piano by using such a "cheap" tool, so I showed him my K&M tuning hammer. He tried it and said that it would work nicely. Overall, I'm super happy with this product.

A must have tool for piano lovers!
I'am a beginner in piano tuning experimenting on my own upright piano. I owned some cheap tuning hammers before and I have to say the difference is huge. No more messed up pins, precise control and the tool is well built. Absolutely recommended.

Excellent!
Really really high quality Piano Tuning Hammer from K&M as you'd expect. German quality that just speaks for itself!
It's really sturdy so I bet it's going to last you a life-time. You only have to buy this one once so don't worry about if the price is a bit too much on this. This will last while others will struggle to keep up!
Top choice if you want the best at a great price! You won't find a better one at this price I guarantee it!
