Solid Mic stand with a classic look.
I chose this stand to use in my Rory Gallagher tribute band as I wanted a simple classic vintage look with no frills and this fit the bill.
The flat low profile base gives me less to worry about onstage, as I was tired stepping over the legs of every other mic that I've owned. I've never had a problem with the stability of it either, the weighted base has rubber on the bottom and hasn't given me anything to complain about, which is way it should be with a microphone stand!
I appreciate simplicity of design and this suits me perfectly. Its just a telescopic pole that screws into a cast iron base, but it's a very high quality product that I hope to have for many years. The nickel finish also looks very classy in photos and if you like throwing shapes onstage like Jim Morrison or Mick Jagger then this is the stand for you!

Does what it says
Typical straight stand which I think looks gorgeous. Boom stands can be more useful because of their flexibility but I find this stand easier to use when recording vocals. Somehow it's easier to get "into character" because of its look&feel.
The base is stable enough although I wouldn't recommend adding a boom to it: it doesn't have the stability of a tripod. The plastic tightening is decent quality as expected from K&M. All in all, a typical straight stand that does exactly what it says on the tin.

Solid, sturdy and a classic "frontman" accessory!
This is the classic frontman mic stand! Hang your scarves off it and you can look like Axl Rose! Elin from Navelin uses them too!! K&M are by far the best mic stand manufacturers at this price range. The round base is heavy and gives the stability you need and it's light enough to lift and pull off those rock poses. Attaching a boom to this stand is probably not a good idea due to laws of physics! If this is the style of mic stand you're looking for, look no further! Can't go wrong with K&M, the Shure of the mic stand world...

K & M Mic Stand
This is a great Mic Stand, very robust, easy to set up. Easy on the feet as well due it does not cover so much place on the floor, so it is easier to handle as those with removable legs.
Pros
Very solid stand, heavy and very stable, looking as well very good
Cons
none

The perfect mic stand for frontmen!
The straight, chromes mic stand is a classic rock look for frontmen or singers who aren't also playing an instrument.
Aside from the classic look, this stand has a good solid, heavy base, so it won't easily get knocked over on stage. The base also unscrews so you can pack it away with the rest of your folding stands at the end of the gig.
It's also great in the studio for use with big heavy condenser mics as the heavy base means there's much less chance of your expensive mic being knocked over.

Striking look for a good price
I love this stand! It's very stable and overall has a much slicker look than the usual tripod stands. The way it reflects stage lights adds extra shimmer to live performances. At that price, it's a total steal.

Not just a mic stand
This is not just a stand - for a singer only, a vocal that doesn't play an instrument too, this is an absolute best accessory, a must have ;)
Looks really sturdy and should last for years!!
Love the nickel finish too ;)
