Decent entry level synth
I purchased a Microkorg while my mininova was being repaired. It's a decent synthesizer, there are tons of options for making your own sounds; pretty much every parameter you could need is available to you.
There are approximately 64 pre-loaded patches and the sounds are awesome. The true power of the Microkorg is in building your own sounds. There is definitely a learning curve here and you'll have to read the manual / search online.
It's main competitor is the Novation Mininova, which is more user-friendly but has less customisation options.
If you're new to synths, the Mininova may be a better option. If you're looking to build your own patches, the Microkorg is the right synth for you.

Solid synth!
It is small, compact and the sound is great! The build quality could be better but it is very good for the price.

Great classic
But in my opinion, it's getting way too old

An old classic
Exectily as expected, you can get great sounds out of it with a little dedication and work.

spacelab
able to create very deep sounds. very nice synth for person who wants to discover and experiment in sound and inner space. quite big minus is that you have to surf between parameters and that lacks a bit live performance abilities. great synth thou for this small size.

a really good synth, but quite complcated to use
The microKORG is a relly nice synth for taking with you. The preset sounds are cool, but you really have to learn how to modify them, so it takes a while, until you can really use it.

pros:
nice pleasing sounds straight out of the box, and output is nice and clear it seems. Basses can be fat, arps are nice, keys also, modulation wheel is assigned to nice parameters most of the time, and filter is quite ok.
cons:
keys are a bit on the small side but it makes for a compact design so that's quite alrite. Perhaps editing the sounds can be a bit of a slow process with a bunch of wheel turning to get to the parameters you want. Some sounds are drowned in effects.
Overall a really nice and efficient toy.
