Bought these mainly for listening to tech/jazz/death metal in a lossless format, and they're great. I have discovered new sides of already beloved songs. I can hear every detail, every cymbal, every brush, every cowbell, how stretched the snare drum is for a particular song, etc. The bass is quite punchy, and the sound is juicy with the right mix. They're great also from 4m away and at 80% volume, though they punch through the sound insulation of an old house. Not great for MP3, as one might expect. Great for FLAC when combined with SMSL D1 DAC. Combined with an AirPlay receiver (mikebrady/shairport-sync) and Spotifyd installed on a Linux server, it turned into a pretty decent wireless listening setup.
