My new favourite bass strings

I fitted a set of these strings to my epiphone vintage pro thunderbird and I really enjoy the powerful tone I can achieve. The lows are deep and rich with enough mids and top for a sound that cuts through without being overly zingy like a set of new roundrounds. The feel is similar to thomastik JF-344 jazz flats in that they seem to be quite low tension and are very fast to play and respond well even when played fingerstyle with a light touch.

Why discontinue the black ?

I only bought these because the black have been discontinued !
They are my new, latest first choice for sound, but I was forced to fit Black Chrome replacement machine heads, and now strings are only available in white !
