Most high-end cello strings I've tried so far

I now use a set of Magnacore string on my modern cello. This is a really bright-sounding instrument, easily harsh on the top ends. These strings helped valorised the mellowed side of my cello, while still allowing huge dynamic range and flexibility. I would recommend for any type of professional ranged cello, especially the modern-sounding ones.
Durability-wise, I would change this string every 4-5 months when played every day at professional level. This is slightly longer than the usual opinion about Larsen strings for cello.

Bin froh, nach der a-Saite nun endlich auch die neue Saite aufgezogen zu haben. Ein Unterschied wie Tag und Nacht. War in der Tat nach 3,5 jahren höchste Zeit für einen Wechsel. Jetzt hat mein Cello wieder den vollen, satten, zuverlässigen gewohnten Sound. Die g- und c- Saiten halten tun ihren diesnt offensichtlich länger.
