A switch. In a box you can step on. On the floor.
One feature: A switch. A good one!
Used in practice rooms and live, plugged in a valve guitar head, this footswitch is a little champ. It is lighter than Marshall footswitches, heavier than those Fender plasticky li'l switches. Weight comes both as a Pro and Con (see below)
Pros? Light, durable switch, nice long cable, easy to operate, just the right height. The force and movement needed to switch is just right, while tactile feedback of switching is unmistakeable in the foot of the operator. Really nice footswitch that player can completely rely on.
Cons? Well, compared to an ancient Marshall footswitch, this weights is only about 1/3 of the weight Marshall has. Meaning - easy to carry, but also easy to inadvertedly kick about the stage if you are a wild one (you know if you are). Those timid, mild and moderately wild among us will find no problems using it.

Tough and silent
I plugged it into my Fender Frontman and my Peavey Envoy, it works with both, and makes no popping sound when I switch it on an off. The sides are plastic but the body is 4mm thick aluminum, it feels robust enough to take the weight of the leg often. The underside has two pads made of a dense and pretty hard foam that adheres well to the ground, and seems like it won't chip away easily.
The switch itself is the standard (like in Dunlop pedals) chromed steel thing with strong body and bolt/nut assembly. I opened the box and saw the soldering is neat and full, the wires are not too thin, the rubber is less strong than in good guitar cables but seems durable enough for its job.
I couldn't scratch the paint with my fingernails, and the plug sits firmly in the amps' input jack. The whole thing is tough and well made, but what I like most is the silent operation: it doesn't pop at all when turned on or off, and that's what matters most with a footswitch. Some days ago I went to listen to a rehearsal with professional musicians, the guitarist was well equipped but one switch in his pedalboard popped, that's annoying and it disrupts the music a bit. The FS-1 doesn't pop.

For this price - unbeatable
Plain simple footswitch, quite well made. Body is some sort of alloy, sideplates are plastic. Switch itself is operating well, clicks just like it should. I use it to switch on the reverb on the Laney Cub head. My only criticizm is that cable is not interchangable. In case if you are not touring musician, it should last for ages. But, still, for the 10 euros it's a steal.

Great Device
I bought this foot switch to use with the Fender Mustang II as it was way cheaper (and look more resilient) than the original one-button fender foot switch. It worked straight out of the box.
The build quality is very good, the casing is made of some light metal finished with hard plastic on the sides. The cable is very long and seems of decent quality.
The mechanical switch feels great and of very high quality.
I am very impress with the build quality overall. The foot switch is very stable, looks durable and it is strong enough to take it around to gigs and rehearsals.
A great foot switch for very little money. Definitely worth buying it.

What else
I purchased this switch for my old Marshall guitar amplifier which didn't have his own for changing from clean to overdrive channels. It works great. The feel is great, the case is sturdy, the cable is long enough, i mean what else do you need. Simple foot switch that does the job for cheap money. Recommend it.

You connect it, you click it, it activates the action that needs a foot switch. Easy as that. Solid build, I use three of them. If I need more of them, I would order this one again.

Great footswitch with a little but.
It is well made and functions well. Easy to use, no extra buttons. Please mind that there's no indicator on the footswitch if its working or not. It's just something to get used to.
Now the but part. I'm a bass player, so I never used footswitches before. Maybe it's my amp or maybe it's how it is meant to be, but I have to press it twice to turn the effect on and off. Again, maybe it's my amp or I don't know better. It's easy to get used to, but for an experienced player it is something to have in mind before buying it.
