Functional but with a weird connector
There's not much to write about the basic functionality. It's a USB cable - you plug it in and you're done. There is a subtle green LED light on the female end letting you now there is power to the cable which is a nice touch.
It loses points for the big red housing around the female connector. It isn't designed to be removed and it limits hides the connector away you can't fit in any cables with a male end even slightly larger than normal. The only possible purpose I can think of is weather shielding but it isn't particularly dust proof let alone moisture/etc.
Without the stupid red housing it would get 4.5 stars.
