Absolutely love these beaters. Switched from the regular felt headed beaters that came with my double pedal. Having read that the full size Low Boys can feel a little heavy, I went for the lightweight ones and they are brilliant - perfectly weighted and give a solid thump. I chose the leather covered ones after watching a comparison video online - to me the leather tones down the sharpness of the thwack just the right amount. Love them!

Sicher einer der besten Bassdrum Beater, die ich in den letzten Jahrzehnten gespielt habe. Er ist tatsächlich angenehm leicht, schnell zu spielen und liefert gut Druck. Dazu trägt bei, dass er etwas weiter nach vorne baut als viele andere Beater und ziemlich plan auf das Fell trifft – was mit dem verwendeten Pedal und der Tiefe des jeweiligen Spannreifens minimal variiert. Erwartungsgemäß bringt diese Variante mit Lederflicken etwas mehr Attack, als der verfilzte Bruder.
Wer gerne etwas mehr Gewicht am Fuß hat, nimmt besser die "heavy" Version.
Der Preis geht angesichts der sehr guten Verarbeitung und der gesteigerten Spielfreude in Ordnung.
… ich fürchte, dass ich mir nur für diesen Beater ich mir wohl eine 24er Bassdrum anschaffen muss ;-)

Tja, gibt man 40 Euro für so ein "Gadget" aus oder nicht? In diesem Fall heißt die Antwort eindeutig "ja", denn der kleine Low Boy nringt viel Attack und jede Menge Klangklarheit an und in die BassDrum ohne mit zu viel Power das Fell zu ruinieren. Das Spielgefühl hat sich für mich auch nicht zum Nachteil verändert. Fazit: Ich finds klasse - unser Soundmann auch.
